September 20, 1998 — The Beginning Iglesia Sobre La Roca Katy held its first public service at the Omni Hotel as a church plant of Church on the Rock Houston. Answering God’s call, Pastor Jorge H. Cárdenas and his wife Olivia stepped forward to serve as lead pastors.
Remarkable Growth Through God’s grace and an active community, the church experienced rapid growth, welcoming over 500 members within its first five years.
To accommodate our expanding church family, we moved to our current permanent location.
We were honored to receive Katy’s historical chapel, relocating it to our property as a lasting symbol of faith and tradition in our city.
When Hurricane Harvey hit, our facilities suffered severe flooding. Yet, we experienced God's love through the extraordinary support of our local community and volunteers from across the country who helped us rebuild stronger than ever.
Our congregation is a vibrant tapestry of cultures, bringing together members from many nations. As part of our international mission, Church On The Rock Katy oversees and supports 15 churches across Central and South America.
Bilingual Services: Sunday and Wednesday gatherings in both English and Spanish.
Bible Studies: Small groups for spiritual growth in both languages.
Bible Seminary: In-depth theological and leadership training in Spanish.
